Mohammad has over 23 years of experience in the telecom and semiconductor industries. Prior to co-founding MediaPhy, Mohammad served as the vice president of engineering in the Access division of Centillium Communications, Inc. Mohammad started at Centillium during the first round of funding and played a crucial role during its IPO phase. Prior to Centillium, he held senior level positions at Cirrus Logic, Racal Datacom and AT&T Paradyne. Mohammad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Florida Institute of Technology and an Executive MBA from Haas School of business in Berkeley, California.
Co-Founder and VP of Marketing
Prior to co-founding MediaPhy, Afshin served as the senior marketing manager in charge of worldwide marketing for Central Office (CO) ADSL and VoIP products at the Access and Networking divisions of Centillium Communications Inc. Before joining Centillium, he held positions at SBC Technology Resources and an overseas startup company. Afshin holds a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University.
VP of Operations
Mohammad brings over 20 years of experience in semiconductor operations, most recently serving as vice president of operations at Beceem Communications, a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions for the emerging WiMAX market. He has also held senior level operations, global manufacturing and quality control positions at Genesis Microchip, Paradise Electronics (prior to merger with Genesis), Cirrus Logic Inc and Signetics (a division of Philips). Mr. Tafazzoli holds a bachelor?s degree in electrical engineering from San Jose State University.
Chief Financial officer
Steve is responsible for all financial operations for MediaPhy. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a financial executive in both public and private companies. As a consultant with Kranz & Associates, he worked with companies in a variety of industries as an interim CFO. Prior to joining Kranz & Associates, Steve served as CFO at Omnivision Technologies, Inc., Readicare, Inc., and CHEC Medical Centers, Inc. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics from Mississippi State University, and a MBA from the University of Washington.
